Dean Catroppa is a Long Island musician who comes from the town of Massapequa and currently resides in Amityville. He is a talented and passionate songwriter, who can play some killer tunes!
This year, Dean has been working with Colette, our Music Director, to promote some talented local musicians. In their recent interview, Colette sat down with Dean to talk about his music, his musical friends/colleagues, and to help showcase some great tunes. Dean put together a compilation album titled “The Local Boys: A Massapequa Compilation” that features him and a bunch of his musical buddies.

Bad Mary is a punk band created in the New York area. Exercitum (EXM) is a hard rock/metal band hailing from Queens, NY. The band is a four-piece act consisting of guys who know how to rock out in studio and on the stage. In addition, they can also get the party started anywhere they go. The band got their start in early 2014, and has been working vigorously over the past year to put EXM on the map.
Last week, Colette got a chance to sit down with Exercitum (EXM). Two of the band members, James Ryder (Vocals/Guitar) and Oli Sucio (Lead Guitar), discussed their experiences with touring, recording their debut album and much more.
