The Craft Interview

The Craft is a Bronx based rock band/duo who provides feel-good, jam type music. They can play a little something for The Craft in Studiojust about anyone’s musical taste with their wide repertoire of original songs and great covers. Recently, The Craft founders, Luigi and Mal, stopped by the Required Radio studios to sit and talk with Colette. They discussed what the guys have been doing as a group, what to expect for the remainder of 2014 & more!

The 57th Annual Grammy Awards Nomations

The 57th Annual Grammy Awards nominations are finally out.

Most of the nominees were announced on Friday December 5th, during the “CBS This Morning” news telecast. Ed Sheeran, who scored three nods (Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, & Best Song Written for Visual Media) and Pharrell Williams, who managed to recruit six nods (Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Music Video, Best Urban Contemporary Album, and three for Album of the Year as producer for “Girl” “Beyonce” & “X”) were at hands from the West Coast announcing the nominations.

Throughout the day between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. est the Recording Academy, announced more categories through social media site Twitter.

Sam Smith, and Williams leads with the most nominations each receiving six in total. Also included Beyonce, who received six, and made history becoming the most nominated artist with 52 in total beating Dolly Parton, who pulled 46 nods throughout her career.

Other artists nominated include Iggy Azalea, Drake, Jay Z, Sia, Usher, and Eric Church who each received four nominations. Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus, received her first nomination of the year (Best Pop Vocal Album) for “Bangerz.”

The late Joan Rivers, pulled a posthumously nomination (Best Spoken Word Album) for her audio book “Diary of a Mad Diva.”

Later during the day, CBS Network aired “A Very Grammy Christmas” a one hour special. Featuring performances by Ariana Grande, Big Sean, Mary J. Blige, Sam Smith, Maroon 5, Pharrell Williams, and Tim McGraw. The special was hosted by LL Cool J. During the telecast the nomination for the biggest award of the night “Album of The Year” was announced.

The 57th Annual Grammy Awards, would be televise live on February 8, 2015, from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, at 8/7c on CBS.

Latin Music Hits News: Premio Lo Nuestro 2015 Nominees

The year is almost coming to an end, which means one of the biggest music awards show of the Latin music genre is fast approaching. Los Premio Lo Nuestro 2015, is just right around the corner with nominations being released this past week by Univision.

The annual televised event nominees for 2015 are steaming hot with Romeo Santos, and Enrique Iglesias, both leading the nominations with a total of 10 each. Both artists are even going head to head in the biggest award of the night, “Premios Lo Nuestro Artist of The Year” Although the pair would also be supporting one another in two other nominations “Tropical Song of The Tear” and “Tropical Collaboration of The Year” for their single “Loco”

Prince Royce ft. Snoop Dogg “Stuck On a Feeling”

Latin international superstar Prince Royce, has released his latest single in English. The track is called “Stuck On a Feeling” and features Snoop Dogg. Prince Royce has recently hinted on his desire to break into the English music market to further increase his fan base and awareness. The release of “Stuck On a Felling” is his first move on diving into the market that already has a slew of other established Latin artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, and Ricky Martin.

An untitled English album is already in the works for Prince Royce, and it scheduled to be released in 2015. In addition, Mr. Royce also revealed that a fourth Spanish album is set for some time next year as well.
