The Freshman 15

College is the moment where a student is given the freedom to make his or her own choices and be independent. However independence comes with responsibilities such as handing in papers on time, studying for exams, and keeping up with their newfound clubs.

With so much going on, students often neglect their food choices, therefore leading to weight gain and lack of nutrition. According to a four-year study done by Auburn University, 70% of the student population will gain weight from their freshman year to their senior year, averaging around 14 pounds. Required Radio’s Lindsay Reding reports more on the topic.
